General Session Information
How do I begin therapy with Cheryl?
Click on Get Started in the website menu!
What can I expect in my first session?
Our first session is 50 minutes and is all about identifying the most difficult and painful symptoms you are experiencing and setting up the goals and objectives for your treatment plan.
What can I expect in other sessions?
General sessions start with making a mini-agenda of the top 2 or 3 most important things you need to discuss and putting them in order of importance. Next, we do a quick review of your previous therapeutic assignment. Then we jump into you dumping your feelings and struggles all over the place. We'll pick them up and look at them together. The last 10 minutes are when you and I decide what therapeutic assignment would be good for you based on your treatment plan and what you are dealing with. See My Approach for lots of details about how I conduct therapy.
How often will we meet?
I see clients weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and add sessions as needed. We will meet on a schedule determined by your needs and insurance availability.
How long are the sessions?
My sessions are generally 50 minutes and occur at different frequencies depending on the needs of the individual that I am providing services for at that time.
